Blending formal, ornate touches with clean and relaxed elements, our interior design refresh for Merrill Gardens at the University creates a space that feels both welcoming and elegant.
Located just five minutes from the University of Washington, our design draws strong inspiration from the campus’s iconic architecture and academic atmosphere. Classic details are thoughtfully integrated with a modern twist, resulting in a transitional style that feels timeless yet current.
Each space reflects a different aspect of the collegiate campus, including Suzzallo Library, Miller Hall, and the campus gardens. These subtle references foster a sense of connection to the surrounding context, making the project both distinctive and meaningful for residents and visitors alike. This approach also supports the project’s multi-generational theme, which is especially relevant given the shared courtyard between The Corydon apartments and MG at the University.
