The ULMS Empowerment Center brings together the new Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle headquarters and affordable housing in a single mixed-use development on Rainier Ave S. The design uses color and contrast to create a strong visual identity, turning the residential massing into an expressive landmark along the corridor. At street level, the ULMS offices are wrapped in storefront glazing and marked by a distinctive red entry portal. A shared second-level courtyard provides outdoor space for community events and family-oriented activities, reinforcing the project’s focus on connection and empowerment.
